I have to admit that one of the best aspects of Resistance 2 was its multiplayer in both co-op and competitive modes. Resistance 2 was mostly a huge disappointment for me as they took out 2-Player split-screen Co-op Campaign (not the missions, the campaign), the single-player campaign pacing felt very chopped up, the gameplay was like an amalgamation of Call of Duty, Left 4 Dead 2, Halo, and Half-Life, and the story was dreadfully written. It lost most of its originality and charm of the first one and felt like it had to be like all the other First-Person Shooters to be successful. After playing through Resistance 2, I didn't plan on ever touching Resistance 3; however, the developers perhaps redeemed themselves and made it good again? The Multiplayer is looking pretty good, and I heard they brought back split-screen co-op Campaign. For the sake of getting a multiplayer co-op game, I might pick this one up.
