Tactical Intervention has been talked about for a few years now as Minh 'Gooseman' Le's newest project for a first-person tactical shooter. Le was one of the original modders for Counter-Strike and has learned a lot since then about First-Person Shooters. So it's no surprise that a lot of people are excited to see what this game is all about. Tactical Intervention is a First-Person Tactical Shooter similar to Counter-Strike where two opposing forces shoot each other down with bomb and hostage modes. Some different aspects in the game are items that changes tactics around such as being able to send out attack dogs, utilize riot shields, using charges to breach doors and having abilities to use hostages as shields and rappel down buildings. The game is free-to-play, so I imagine there will be a micro-transaction shop along with the game. There's already $36.97 worth of DLCs that can be purchased on steam. Unfortunately, there were high expectations with the excitement of this game and they were not met when players tried it out. Both critics and users alike on Metacritic have panned the game for being "outdated", "unbalanced" and "muddled in too many mechanics". The game just got onto the Steam platform last night so Steam users are getting their hands on the game right now. I guess I'll give it a try and see what the game's all about.
